The method for downloading fixes is changing for WebSphere Business Modeler, WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server, WebSphere Business Monitor, and WebSphere Integration Developer

| | | Abstract | | Beginning October 31 2008, a number of fix download enhancements are being implemented to improve the user experience and enhance ease-of-use. When you select a fix for download, you will now be presented with a list of the prerequisites and co-requisites for that fix, and given the option of including them in your download package. | | | | | | Content | You will notice some differences in the on-line interface provided for finding and downloading fixes through the WebSphere Business Modeler Advanced, WebSphere Business Modeler Basic, WebSphere Business Modeler Publishing Server, WebSphere Business Monitor and WebSphere Integration Developer product support sites.
Links to some fixes will take you to a new site, Fix Central. IBM is beginning the process of moving fixes for a number of products, including those listed above, to this system. When the move is complete, Fix Central will provide a common experience for users of all IBM software products and provide a simpler, less error-prone interface.
Beginning with the latest October deliverables, you will see a new download link in the Download package table called "FIX CENTRAL." In the following example, you can see the new link:

Previously published maintenance deliverables will remain available on the FTP server, ftp.software.ibm.com. Future maintenace deliverables as well select currently published V6 maintenance deliverables will be published to Fix Central. The remaining V6 and prior version maintenance deliverables will continue to be available using prior download options:

Benefits of using Fix Central include:
- Automated prerequisite and corequisite downloading: When you look for a fix, other fixes or upgrades you need for the fix to work correctly will automatically be located. You will have the opportunity to download everything you need in one step.
- Faster downloading: You have the option of downloading one or more fixes at the same time using Download Director.
