WebSphere Application Server V5.1 is now out of support. New APARs will not be opened. It is recommended that you upgrade to a supported version of WebSphere Application Server. Refer to the WebSphere Application Server Support site for the latest supported versions.

The preceding announcements stated that IBM will withdraw support for IBM WebSphere Application Server for Distributed Version 5.1 on 26 September 2008, and IBM WebSphere Application Server for z/OS Version 5.1 on 30 September 2008.
IBM HTTP Server Versions 1.3.28 and 2.0.47 are a part of WebSphere Application Server Version 5.1 and, therefore, have the same end of support date.

IBM WebSphere Application Server recognizes that there might be unique situations where a Client is not able to migrate to a supported product version prior to an End of Support date. Application Server may, at its discretion, extend Level 2 and defect support for a withdrawn release. Extended support for a product will be considered and provided on an individual Client basis. Information on how to pursue requesting and purchasing a Support Extension can be found in the IBM WebSphere Application Server Support Extension technote.
