What information should be collected when I experience a problem with my software? Collecting data for a DB2 Restore failure from disk. Collecting this information before calling IBM support will help you understand the problem and save time analyzing the data.

Processes to run:
This section lists processes to run in this situation to gather required data.
* On Linux/UNIX, run ps -ef to a file (to collect a list of the currently running processes).
* On all platforms run db2support -d DBNAME -c -s (to collect basic troubleshooting information).
* On Linux/UNIX, ls -lr of the backup directory (to get complete directory tree for the backup directory).
* On Windows, use the tree command on the backup directory (to get a complete directory tree for the backup directory).
Files to collect
This section lists files to collect which are normally (or optimally) generated for this problem.
* The output of the commands (db2support.zip, output of ps -ef and directory listing commands).
