Question
Which fixes are required to migrate data from one of the following to WebSphere® Portal 6.1?
  • IBM WebSphere Portal Versions 5.1.0, 5.1.0.1, 5.1.0.2, 5.1.0.3, 5.1.0.4, 5.1.0.5, 6.0.1.1, and 6.0.1.3
  • IBM WebSphere Portal Express Versions 5.0.2.2, 5.0.2.3, 6.0.1.1, and 6.0.1.3
  • IBM Workplace Web Content Management™ Version 5.1.0, 5.1.0.1, 5.1.0.3, 5.1.0.4, 5.1.0.5, 6.0.1.1, 6.0.1.2, and 6.0.1.3
 
Answer
Required fixes are listed below. To ensure successful migration, use the WebSphere Portal update installer to apply the appropriate fixes in the order listed.

Unless noted otherwise, the fixes listed below are available from the corresponding location in the WebSphere Portal version 6.1 directory.

For example, fixes for WebSphere Portal Version 6.0.1.1 are stored in PortalServer_root/migration/fixes/6011 where PortalServer_root is the install location for the portal server component of the product.

Fixes for Web Content Management Version 6.0.1.2 are stored in PortalServer_root/migration/fixes/wcm6012. This includes all WebSphere Portal V6.0.1.1 fixes. Web Content Management V6.0.1.2 is based on WebSphere Portal V6.0.1.1.
