MustGather: Read first for IBM WebSphere Portal (#1236371)
MustGather documents aid in problem determination and save time collecting diagnostic data useful in isolating and identifying the root cause of most problems you might find in your portal environment. Originally intended as a way to ensure your problem report with IBM Support is resolved quickly, many customers use the MustGathers as a Self-Help guide and can resolve their own problems by looking in the right place, as guided by these documents.

    Detailed System Requirements (#7007791):
Need to know what levels of the Application Server, Database or other software you need to use with a specific release of WebSphere Portal or Workplace Web Content Management? Find out from this list of the minimum system requirements, by version.
Also, for more information about System Requirements that exceed the minimum criteria listed above, refer to the WebSphere Portal Support Statement to determine IBM's support position while you plan for your upgrade.

Performance Tuning Guides for versions 5.1 and 6.0:
Provided by the IBM Performance Development team for WebSphere Portal, these guides provide detailed guidance and general recommendations to help you tune your environment to meet your specific needs. Performance tuning is an art form and will require unique settings for your own portal's needs - one size does not fit all! Refer also to the Diagnosing Performance Problems (# 7007059) document (though written for WebSphere Portal version 5.1, much of it applies also to later versions).
