Improving login performance in a standalone LDAP configuration
|
| | | Problem(Abstract) | | Steps to improve login performance (decrease the time it takes to login) if the WebSphere Portal LDAP configuration is standalone | | | | | | Resolving the problem | If your LDAP configuration is standalone and you are experiencing slower than expected login times, make the following configuration changes:
1) Enable the Portal configuration parameter to Reuse group information.
2) If you have nested LDAP groups, enable the option to "Perform a nested group search" in the WebSphere Application Server configuration. Note that this may not be required if recursive group search is implemented in the LDAP by default.
3) If you have dynamic LDAP groups, you should install WebSphere Application Server Fix Pack 27. This will update your system with WebSphere Application Server APARs PK69720 and PK79766. Note: Both steps (2) and (3) may require tuning the WebSphere Application Server configuration. If there are no nested groups and no dynamic groups in the LDAP, it is not necessary to complete steps (2) or (3). | | | | | | | | |
