This document details the system requirements for IBM® Tivoli® Workload Scheduler Plug-In for Informatica PowerCenter version 8.6

This document provides a list of the supported operating systems and details of the software requirements for the Tivoli Workload Scheduler Plug-In for Informatica PowerCenter version 8.6.

Software requirements for IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler Plug-In for Informatica PowerCenter version 8.6

Table2 lists the types of agents that can run this plug-in in the Distributed and z-centric environments.

Platform Software requirements
Distributed
  • A dynamic agent connected to a Tivoli Workload Scheduler master domain manager or dynamic domain manager.
  • The agent running the plug-in must have a working connection with the Informatica PowerCenter Web Services Hub.
  • Access to the Dynamic Workload Console is recommended but optional since the plug-in jobs can be defined and managed also from the Tivoli Workload Scheduler command lines.
z/OS
  • A Tivoli Workload Scheduler for z/OS agent (z-centric) connected to one of the following:
    • A Tivoli Workload Scheduler for z/OS controller.
    • A dynamic domain manager connected to a Tivoli Workload Scheduler for z/OS controller.
  • The agent running the plug-in must have a working connection with the Informatica PowerCenter Web Services Hub.
  • Access to the Dynamic Workload Console is mandatory since it provides the only means to define the plug-in jobs. After they are defined, these jobs can be managed from the ISPF panels.
