Notes:

1. Quantum DXi6802 virtual tape library is the enterprise disk backup solution. It can emulate various Quantum media changers and drives. However, we recommend configuring the media changer as Quantum DXi6800, and the drives as HP Ultrium 5-SCSI, or IBM ULTRIUM-TD5.

2. Application Managed Encryption (AME) is not supported.

3. Quantum DXi6802 can emulate up to 256 drives. However, Tivoli Storage Manager may support less than 256 drives. See Technote 1364225 for information about the maximum number of devices that the Tivoli Storage Manager device driver can support on each platform.

4. Quantum DXi6802 does not support append-only mode with IBM ULTRIUM-TD5 drive. If you emulate IBM ULTRIUM-TD5 drive, change the CHECKTAPEPOS Tivoli Storage Manager server option to TSMonly.

Library and drive may require different minimum Tivoli Storage Manager levels. Therefore, ensure that both library and drive hardware are supported.
