Notes:

1. Library capacity
    DXi3500 - up to 64 virtual drives and 1600 cartridges
    DXi5500 - up to 64 virtual drives and 3200 cartridges

4. Device identifications and firmware levels used during validation

5. ELEMent=AUTODetect in the DEFINE/UPDATE DRIVE command is supported.

6. Quantum DXi3500 and DXi5500 are disk based backup systems which emulate following virtual drives:
  • Quantum DLT 7000, SDLT 320, SDLT 600, and DLT-S4
  • HP LTO-2, HP LTO-3
  • IBM LTO-1, LTO-2, and LTO-3

7. Quantum DXi3500 and DXi5500 can be configured as Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Virtual Tape Library (VTL). Currently, only the VTL mode is supported by Tivoli Storage Manager.



Library and drive may require different minimum Tivoli Storage Manager levels. Therefore, ensure that both library and drive hardware are supported. See " Supported Devices for AIX, HP-UX, Solaris and Windows" or " Supported Devices for Linux" for minimum supported version levels and platforms for these devices.
