StorageTek T9940A and StorageTek T9940B are no longer supported with Tivoli Storage Manager Server version 7.1 and later.
StorageTek T9940A

2. Supported TSM formats
DEFine DEVclass devclassname DEVType=ECARTridge FORMAT=9940 .....
DEFine DEVclass devclassname DEVType=ECARTridge FORMAT=9940-C .....

Specifies that TSM writes data that uses the T9940A recording format. This format results in a cartridge capacity of 60GB when using StorageTek 9940 tape cartridge.
9940-C
Specifies that TSM writes data that uses the T9940A recording format with compression. This format results in a cartridge capacity ranges from 120 to 240 GB or more when using StorageTek 9940 tape cartridge.
3. 60 GB native capacity and approximately 120-240 GB with data compression.

Specifies that TSM writes data that uses the T9940B recording format with compression. This format results in a cartridge capacity about 200GB when using STK 9940 media.
3. 200 GB native capacity and approximately 400 GB with data compression assuming a data compression ratio of 2:1

5. QLogic 2100 attachment is not supported for this device.
