Question

How to create a situation for process monitor that is only true after the process is found down for 3 sample intervals (occurrences). Example: process "notepad" not running across three consecutive interval checks.

Answer

This can be achieved by changing the situation persistence. When a new situation is created under the Advanced > Situation Persistence change the "Consecutive true sample" parameter as per your requirement then save the situation and proceed.

Example: Set the "Consecutive true sample" to 3 to cause the situation to trigger when the "notepad" process is not running for three consecutive situation intervals.
