Why collect IBM's MustGather files manually when IBM Support Assistant Lite can do it for you? IBM Support Assistant Lite for IBM Tivoli Identity Manager knows the data files that IBM Support analysts need to identify, diagnose, and recover from operational problems with IBM Tivoli Identity Manager.

Supported platforms

You can run IBM Support Assistant Lite on the following platforms as long as JRE 1.4.2 or higher is supported on the platform:
  • Microsoft® Windows XP Professional
  • Microsoft® Windows Server 2003
  • Microsoft® Windows Vista
  • Microsoft® Windows 2000
  • Linux
  • SunOS (lacks support for inventory reporting)
  • Solaris (lacks support for inventory reporting)
  • AIX
  • HP-UX

Installation Instructions

Download and uncompress the contents of the IBM Support Assistant Lite package onto your system.

1) Uncompress the Downloaded Zip file





2) Open the Uncompressed ISALite Directory..to understand the contents.




3) BEFORE RUNNING/USING ISA Collector

On UNIX operating systems, change the permissions for all files that have been extracted and set the JAVA_HOME environment variable
    chmod –R 755 *
    export JAVA_HOME=/opt/wfo/v3/client_connection/java32/jre

On Windows
    Either set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to JRE PATH
    or edit the batch file to add at the very top a line like
    set JAVA_HOME = "C:\Program Files\IBM\Java50\jre"
    (path should be in valid in your machine)


4) LAUNCHING ISA LITE Collector (GUI or CONSOLE)
