Console changes show on Summary Chart View, but not on Event Viewer

Question
In the Configuration option of TEC Java console, a constraint has been added to an Eventgroup.
 
Answer
The change is reflected in the Summary Chart View, but the Event Viewer is still displaying events based on the previous configuration.TEC console has to be restarted for the changes to be visible in the Event Viewer. Changes made to the console definition before opening the Event Viewer are immediately reflected.

The SQL query used to retrieve events to populate the Event Viewer is based on the console definition details pulled from the database when the TEC console is first launched. As soon as the Event Viewer is opened this SQL query is executed, and from this point on the view will be refreshed according to the time interval specified in the Event Viewer options. This view will continue to be refreshed, even if the Event Viewer is closed, as long as the TEC console (summary view screen) is open. If the console definition is changed after the event viewer is opened, the changes will only be apparent after the TEC console has been closed completely and re-opened, so the SQL query can be formed based on the changes you have made to the console definition

If changes are made to the console definition after the Event Viewer has been opened, you will need to completely close the TEC console and re-open for the changes to take effect in the Event Viewer. The Summary Chart View however is updated dynamically
