Abstract
This presentation discusses application and system performance topics for DB2® for z/OS® Version 8, including:
- Query performance enhancements, such as materialized query tables and non-indexed column distribution statistics
- SQL performance enhancements, such as more indexable predicates and multi-row fetch, update, delete, and insert
- Index enhancements, such as variable-length index keys
- Other application performance enhancements, such as triggers and lock avoidance
