This document provides:

1. A link to the latest SAN Volume Controller code.

2. A link to the compatibility tables for the SVC Cluster and Console (GUI) levels, followed by concurrent compatibility tables which illustrate the upgrades available for SAN Volume Controller code levels.

3. A cross reference table from SAN Volume Controller release code level to code build level.

1. Latest SAN Volume Controller Code

Please take note of the following concurrent compatibility tables which illustrate the supported upgrade paths.

This document indicates the recommended concurrent upgrade paths from all previous versions of software to the latest release in each codestream.

2. Concurrent Compatibility Tables

The following concurrent compatibility tables illustrate the upgrades available for each SAN Volume Controller release.

Please visit SAN Volume Controller and SVC Console (GUI) Compatibility for information on which SVC Console (GUI) levels are recommended for each SAN Volume Controller cluster level.

Please visit SAN Volume Controller Code, Node and UPS Interoperability Matrix for information about which SVC node and UPS hardware types can be used with each SAN Volume Controller software level.

A concurrent upgrade path from V4.1.x levels to a V5.1.x level is available using V4.3.1.x as an intermediate level.

Important: V3.1.0 and earlier levels have reached End of Service and are no longer supported. Refer to the SAN Volume Controller Support Statement for further information. Contact IBM Support if you require assistance upgrading to a supported level.

V2.1.0 and earlier levels have reached End of Service and are no longer supported. Refer to the SAN Volume Controller Support Statement for further information. Contact IBM Support if you require assistance upgrading to a supported level.
