Situation: When the uninstall action for DB2 LUW v9.x on Windows fails unexpectedly.

If you wish to simply remove DB2 LUW v9.x from the system without investigation, the db2unins -f option can be used to perform a brute force uninstall of the product.
db2unins - Uninstall DB2 database product command

Information to collect:

To investigate the problem, please use the -t and -l switches of the db2unins command to generate a log and trace file for the uninstaller.

Example:
db2unins -t c:\trace.txt -l c:\log.txt

What to do next
