Connector

The following table specifies the connector that is required on the CommonStore Server for the supported archive servers:

Archive server (required)Required connector on CommonStore Server:Notes
DB2® Content Manager Enterprise Edition V8.3 (formerly called DB2 Content Manager for Multiplatforms)Content Manager V8 ConnectorThis connector is a subcomponent of the IBM Information Integrator for Content, which is delivered with the product. When you start the installation wizard of Information Integrator for Content, select any of its components, that is, the Desktop Client, the Server, or the Development Workbench. The Content Manager V8 connector is one of the selectable items in the installation component Local connectors.

Content Manager OnDemand for Multiplatforms 7.1.2.3 with later fix packs.Content Manager OnDemand for Multiplatforms 7.1.2.3 (server)This is the same as the archive server software. It is required because the Content Manager OnDemand server contains the interface to CommonStore, which must exist on the computer where CSLD is installed. You do not have to configure this server, and the server hosting your archive can be on a different machine. If the connector (and hence also CSLD) resides on the same system as the archive server, you do not have to install this package again.

The operating system and additional software listed in the following table must be installed on the computer on which you want to install the CSLD Task:

One of the following operating systems (required)
One of the following Lotus Notes® or Lotus® Domino® versions (because a Lotus Notes runtime is needed)Notes
  • AIX® 5.2
  • AIX 5.3

  • Windows Vista Business
  • Windows Vista Enterprise
  • Windows XP
  • Lotus Notes R6.5
  • Lotus Notes R7
  • Lotus Notes R8

Notes:

  • The runtime is available as part of a Lotus Notes client or a Lotus Domino server.
  • Since Lotus Notes clients are not available for AIX, Windows Server 2003, and Windows Server 2008, you must install a Lotus Domino server in order to provide CSLD with a Lotus Notes runtime.
