Error: 'Cannot locate or open Server Profile [DDMServerProf]' DDMTRAN hangs or crashes Domino server

Problem
You start the DDMTRAN task on your Domino server and notice the following on the server console:

30/01/2004 09:46:04 Creating Domino Web Administrator database...
30/01/2004 09:46:07 Transaction Manager WinNT build 28: Initialization Complete
30/01/2004 09:46:07 Transaction Manager WinNT build 28: Cannot locate or open Server Profile [DDMServerProf]
30/01/2004 09:46:07 Transaction Manager WinNT build 28: Cannot locate or open Server Profile. An error occurred opening the document.
In some cases, the Domino server will crash or hang.
 
Cause
There are issues with pending transactions in the DDMTRANS.nsf database(s).
 
Resolving the problem
This issue has been reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# FGRR5XRGK8.

To resolve this issue, remove all of the pending transactions from the DDMTRANS.nsf on the master server and all replica servers.
