Fix for renamed user cannot complete review and approval cycle
Downloadable files
Abstract
This download contains a fix for a Lotus Domino Document Manager problem in which renamed users cannot complete a review and approval cycle.
Download Description
This test fix corrects the issue documented in the following technote, namely that renamed users cannot complete a review and approval cycle in Lotus Domino Document Manager:
In some cases after applying the fix, a renamed user who tries to complete a review of a document generates an error message such as follows on the Domino Server console:
09:43:05 Agent '(WebCompleteReview) WebCompleteReview' error: User CN=First Last/O=Lotus cannot open database ddm/DominoDoc2Log.nsf.
The problem occurs when the renamed user does not yet have access to the Library Log file (DominoDoc2Lib.nsf.) In this case, the Rename action has not completed even though the command "Tell AdminP Process All" has been issued. To resolve this problem, in the Lotus Notes client do a switch ID (File -> Security -> Switch ID) for the renamed user. That action should lead to the completion of the Rename action. Next open the Library Log database (DominoDoc2Lib.nsf) with the renamed user's ID. If the log database opens, then the renamed user should be able to complete a Review or Approval without problems.
