Hardware requirements
  • Intel Pentium or higher and compatibles
  • 256 MB RAM minimum; 512 MB or more recommended per CPU (Windows 2000)
  • 512 MB RAM minimum; 512 MB or more recommended per CPU (Windows 2003)
  • 1.5 GB minimum disk space (per partition)
  • Disk swap space: 2 times the physical RAM installed
  • Color monitor required

  • NetBIOS over NetBEUI(1) (Note: Windows 2003 is not supported)
  • NetBIOS over IP(2) (Note: Windows 2003 64-bit is not supported)
  • NetBIOS over IPX (Note: Windows 2003 64-bit is not supported)

  • TCP/IP IPV6 (Note: TCP/IP IPV6 is not supported on Windows 2000)

IBM z/OS
  • Any processor that supports your release level of z/OS
  • 1 GB RAM minimum; 2 GB or more recommended
  • Disk space: 3 3390-3 volumes minimum
  • Any standard display monitor (local or remote)

Linux on zSeries
  • Any processor that supports your release level of Linux on zSeries
  • 1 GB RAM minimum; 2 GB or more recommended
  • 2.5 GB disk space minimum; 2.5 GB or more recommended
  • Any standard display monitor (local or remote)
Protocols supported
  • TCP/IP
  • TCP/IP IPV6 (Note: TCP/IP IPV6 is not supported on Domino for IBM i5/OS)

Footnotes

1 Only Microsoft NetBEUI is supported. Starting with Windows XP, Microsoft has discontinued support of the NetBEUI.
2 Only Microsoft TCP/IP is supported.
3 The 64-bit kernel must be installed and in use on these systems, even though the OS is 32-bit. The use of the 32-bit kernel is no longer supported on these platforms. Please see the OS vendor documentation for questions on enabling/using the 64-bit kernel. (On Solaris, the 64-bit kernel is used by default on supported hardware; this is not the case for AIX).

Note: If you are running with DB2 as the Domino datastore then you must add additional DB2 install requirements. DB2 8.2 is supported. For additional install requirements, please see "Setting up and using Domino 7 and DB2" in the Domino Administrator Help.
