Problem
In Lotus Domino 8.5, you find that user rename and user delete fails to update group membership, except in the case where the renamed or deleted user is also listed in the LocalAdmin field for the group.
 
Cause
This is a regression introduced in Domino release 8.5.
 
Resolving the problem

This issue is now fixed in Lotus Notes and Domino 8.5 Fix Pack 1 and 8.5.1.

Fix details: SPR #JPAI7MFS69

Refer to the Upgrade Central site for details on upgrading Notes/Domino.

Additional options
If upgrading is not an option, use a pre-8.5 Domino server for user rename and user delete functions.

Apply the fix for SPR# JPAI7MFS69 to the Domino 8.5 server. To receive the fix, use one of the two steps below:

1. Contact IBM Support (choose this path if more than one fix is needed).

2. Download the fix from Fix Central.

Note: Fix Central has one fix per platform. Each fix can be installed only on a Domino 8.5 server which has no other fixes applied.

The interim fixes are named in the following format:

DominoServer_85IF1_<os> (where <os> indicates the platform, such as W32, or W64).

The list below equates the Fix Central Name with the Binary Fix on which it is based. The Binary Fix is in a separate database, accessed through support channels. The Fix Central fix may be downloaded by the customer directly.

Note: When installed, the version displayed is not 85IF1, but is derived from the original hot fix number in the binaries database:

Each interim fix has a readme file which points to technote 1351738 "Readme for IBM Lotus Domino server release 8.5 Interim Fix 85IF1".

Technote 1351738 contains the Interim Fix Agreement Letter and install instructions.


This fix is needed only on 8.5 servers running adminp.
