Notes:
- Notes 7.0.2 for Macintosh is the first Notes 7.x release supported on the Mac OS.
- Refer to technote #1290250 for known issues when running Notes 7.0.3 on Mac 10.5.x
- Notes 8.5 is the first Notes 8.x release supported on the Mac OS
- Currently there is no 8.0.x version of Notes for the Mac platform; the platforms available for 8.0.x are Linux and Microsoft Windows. Refer to Technote #1265157 for more details.
- Statement on Mac OSX 10.6.x (Snow Leopard Release):
Presently, 10.6 is not currently supported in Notes 8.5, or in any version of Notes 6x, 7x.
As Notes 8.5.1 has not been fully tested or certified for Mac OSX release 10.6, it is also therefore not supported.
IBM Development has tested Apple's preliminary releases on this os and will continue to test on Apple's final 10.6 build. As issues are identified, IBM will collect and technote those for Notes 8.5.1's release.
Please understand that IBM is working with Apple to ensure that incompatibilities are identified and resolved successfully. At this time, IBM does not recommend production deployment of 8.5.1 on 10.6. A statement of support will be released as soon as platform certification testing is completed. Please feel free to post any issues you may find, but be aware that we have not yet completed testing of 8.5.1 against 10.6. | | | | | | | | |
