How to include APPC/OTMA transactions in Transaction Transit reports and Transaction History File

Question & Answer

Question

How do I include APPC/OTMA transactions in Transaction Transit reports and in Transaction History File results produced by IMS Performance Analyzer?

Answer

To include APPC/OTMA transactions globally across all Transaction Transit reports and the Transaction History File, select the “Include APPC/OTMA Transactions” on the Transaction Transit Options panel. By default, APPC/OTMA transactions are not included.

Selecting this option generates the QUALIFY(INCL(APPC)) operand for the IMSPALOG batch command. This batch operand must be present in order to include the relevant transactions.
For example, the following batch command will generate a Transaction Transit Statistics report and a Transaction History File that includes APPC/OTMA transactions:
IMSPALOG QUALIFY(INCL(APPC)) IMSPALOG STATS IMSPALOG TRANHIST IMSPALOG EXECUTE

Ensure that you have the IPITHIST ddname defined in the JCL when using the TRANHIST operand. Refer to the IMS Performance Analyzer User’s Guide for details.

Setting this option does not affect Form-based Transaction Transit reports. Form-based Transaction Transit reports include all transactions.
