WebSphere® Studio Asset Analyzer V5.1 (AIX)

This page describes the minimum product levels that need to be installed before opening a problem report with the WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer Support team. Because other products frequently ship fixes, updates, and new releases, testing every configuration is not possible. In general, you can install and run with updates to supported products if those updates are forward compatible.

WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer V5.1 requires the following software:

MVS		z/OS®, V1.5, V1.6 or later (5694-A01) Note: You must install the optional feature Security Server or an equivalent security product before using WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer. IBM® HTTP Server is the base component of z/OS, so you do not need to install it separately, but it must be configured with companion prerequisite software. (HTTP Server support site) If your IBM WebSphere Application Server (5655-N01) is at V6.1, then your operating system must be z/OS, V1.6 or later. (z/OS product site)
DB2®		One of the following: (DB2 support site) IBM DB2 Univeral Database for z/OS and OS/390, V7 with PTF UQ96293 and IBM DB2 Utilities Suite V7.1 (MVS 5697-E98) IBM DB2 Universal Database for z/OS and OS/390, V8.1.0 with PTF UK00265 and IBM DB2 Utilities Suite V8.1 (MVS 5655-K61) IBM DB2 for z/OS, V9 Note: RUNSTAT in DB2 Utilities Suite or z/OS is required for tuning the repository). You must install and configure the JDBC V2.0 application support.
Windows		Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later Note: WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer takes advantage of Adobe technology to render graphics in Scable Vector Grapphics (SVG) format. Currently, the Adobe Web browser plug-in for SVG exists in its most robust form only for Internet Explorer. However, when similar support exists for other Web browsers, the WebShpere Studio Asset Analyzer will extend its support to these other browsers.

AIX		One of the following (AIX 5L product site): AIX 5.2. If you use WebSphere Application Server V6.1, you must install maintenance 5200-07. AIX 5.3. If you use WebSphere Application Server V6.1, you must install maintenance 5300-04-01.
DB2®		IBM® DB2 Connect Enterprise Edition, V7.02 (5648-D42), V8.1 (5765-F30), or V9.1 (5765-F30). Note: While you can use DB2 Connect V7.1 with DB2 UDB V8, it is recommended that you use DB2 Connect V8, Fixpack 6. See the DB2 website http://www.ibm.com/software/data/db2 to determine the version of the utilities that best matches your database version.
WebSphere Application Server		One of the following (WebSphere Application Server support site): WebSphere Application Server, V5.1, V6.0.2.15, or V6.1 WebSphere Application Server Express V5.1, V6.0.2.15 or V6.1
JRE		Java™ Runtime Environment (JRE) as supported by WebSphere Application Server. For example JRE, V1.4.2 shipped with WebSphere Application Server, V6.0.1. (Java Technology site)

For Assembler scanning: High Level Assembler for MVS & VM & VSE, V1.4 or V1.5 (5696-234) For IMS database design (DBD) and program specification block (PSB) control block analysis: IMS Library Integrity Utilities for z/OS, V1.1 (5655-I42) For Cobol scanning with compiler: IBM Enterprise COBOL for z/OS, V3.3 with PTF UK22430 IBM Enterprise COBOL for z/OS, V3.4 with PTF UK22431 (5655-G53) For PL/I scanning with compiler: IBM Enterprise PL/I for z/OS, V3.3 with PTF UK06462 IBM Enterprise PL/I for z/OS, V3.4 IBM Enterprise PL/I for z/OS, V3.5 IBM Enterprise PL/I for z/OS, V3.6 (5655-H31) One of the following for CICS region scanning (CICS Transaction Server support site): CICS® Transaction Server, V2.2 or V2.3 (5655-M15) CICS® Transaction Server, V3.1 (5697-E93) One of the following for IMS database scanning (IMS/ESA product site): IMS/ESA® Transaction and Database Servers, V6.1 (5655-I58) IMS Transaction and Database Servers for OS/390 V7.1 (5655-B01) IMS Database and Transaction Servers for OS/390 and z/OS, V8.1 (5655-C56) IMS Database and Transaction, V9.1 IMS Database and Transaction, V10 One of the following for DB2 Catalog scanning: IBM DB/2 Universal Database for z/OS and OS/390, V7 with PTF UQ96293 IBM DB/2 Universal Database for z/OS and OS/390, V8.0.1 with PTF UK00265 IBM DB/2 for z/OS, V9 For scanning from IBM Rational ClearCase: IBM Rational ClearCase 2003 For scanning from Serena ChangeMan ZMF: Serena ChangeMan ZMF, V5.3 For scanning from CVS: CVS Client, V1, 11.1.2 (Build 41) For scanning from PVCS (Windows only) PVCS, V6.8.0.0
