WebSphere® Studio Asset Analyzer V4.1 (MVS)

This page describes the minimum product levels that need to be installed before opening a problem report with the WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer Support team. Because other products frequently ship fixes, updates, and new releases, testing every configuration is not possible. In general, you can install and run with updates to supported products if those updates are forward compatible.

WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer V4.1 requires the following software:

MVS		One of the following: (z/OS product site) OS/390® V2.10 (5647-A01) z/OS® V1.3 or later (5694-A01) You must install the optional feature Security Server or an equivalent security product before using WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer. IBM® HTTP Server is the base component of OS/390 and z/OS, so you do not need to install it separately, but it must be configured with companion prerequisite software. (HTTP Server support site)
DB2®		One of the following: (DB2 support site) IBM DB2 UDB Server for OS/390 ad z/OS with National Language V7.0 with PTF UQ82348 applied (MVS 5675-DB2 ) IBM DB2 UDB for z/OS V8.0 or later (MVS 5625-DB2) You must install and configure the JDBC V2.0 application support. One of the following: IBM DB2 Utilities Suite V7 - RUNSTATS utility (MVS 5697-E98) IBM DB2 Utilities Suite V8 - RUNSTATS utility (MVS 5655-K61)
Windows		Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later

WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer V4.1, configured using WebSphere Application Server on MVS®, requires the following additional software:

WebSphere Application Server

One of the following: (WebSphere Application Server support site) WebSphere Application Server for OS/390 V4.0.1 Service Level W401605 (5655-F31) WebSphere Application Server for z/OS V5.1 Service Level W510004 (5655-I35) Java™ Development Kit V1R3 with PTF UQ88094 is required. (Java Technology site) WebSphere Application Server must be enabled to access DB2 using JDBC. (Application Server support site)

Note: If WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer V4.1 distributed support is installed, please see the software requirements relative to the Windows® or AIX® operating system as well.

CICS® Asset Support - 5655-147 CICS Transaction Server V1.3 or later with PTF UQ48250 (CICS Transaction Server support site) IMS Asset Support - 5685-012 IMS/ESA® Database Manager V5.0 or later (IMS/ESA product site) IMS Asset Support - 5685-013 IMS/ESA Transaction Manager V5.0 or later (IMS/ESA product site) One of the following for IMS Asset Support - DBD and PSB Control Block Analysis: (IMS/ESA product site) 5655-E04 IMS Library Management Utilities V1.0 or later 5655-I42 IMS Library Integrity Utilities for z/OS V1 or later 5655-G53 IBM Enterprise COBOL for z/OS V3.3 with PTF UQ97019 (Enterprise COBOL for z/OS) 5655-H31 IBM Enterprise PL/I for z/OS V3.3 or later (Enterprise PL/I for z/OS product site)
