Problem(Abstract)
Exception received when trying to start the IBM WebSphere Studio Asset Analyzer distributed scanner on a Windows XP machine. The same driver has no problems on Windows 2000.
 
Symptom
[IBM][CLI Driver][DB2] SQL0206N  "PKGNAME " is not valid in the context where it is used.  SQLSTATE=42703
COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.DB2Exception: [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2] SQL0206N  "PKGNAME" is not valid in the context where it is used.  SQLSTATE=42703
 
Resolving the problem
From a DB2 command window, do the following:

cd to DB2DIR\bnd
db2 connect to 390db user adminID using password
db2 bind @ddcsmvs.lst blocking all grant public sqlerror continue
db2 terminate
