Effective April 30, 2009, IBM Rational TestManager will no longer be available for download.

NOTE: Although we will no longer be shipping copies of Rational TestManager, we will continue to support this offering through FixPacks and iFixes which will be available for download from the Rational Support Site for the duration of the Support License Agreement.

Rational TestManager Feature Support Discontinuance

Access to Rational TestManager will no longer be available after April 30th, 2009.

Existing customers who are using TestManager may continue to do so, but access to additional copies will no longer be available.

For those customers looking to perform test management functions, those functions are now available through IBM Rational Quality Manager. Rational Quality Manager is our next generation Test Management solution (set) that is now commercially available for sale. It comes with complete data migration facilities to move your existing TestManager data to Rational Quality Manager.

  1. Why is April 30, 2009 important?

    After April 30, 2009, we will remove the TestManager component from the download site and will not make this component available through any mechanism.
  2. What should Robot customers do before April 30th, 2009?

    We recommend that all Rational Robot customers upgrade to the existing Rational Robot 7.0.2 Release, and download the TestManager component. This will ensure your organization is at the most recent release of Rational Robot and the TestManager component. If you wait until after April 30th, 2009 to upgrade to Rational Robot 7.0.2, you will not be able to gain access to the TestManager component.
  3. Where can I learn more about Rational Quality Manager?

    More details on Rational Quality Manager can be found on the Rational Quality Manager Support site on ibm.com at or on the Rational Quality Manager page on developerWorks.
  4. Where can I learn more about Rational Robot version 7.0.2?

    Contact your Rational Account Representative. Your Account Representative can be located though IBM’s online contact system.
  6. Will iFixes and FixPacks still be available?

    Yes, Robot and TestManager iFixes and FixPacks will still be available for the duration of Support License Agreement and can be downloaded from the Rational Robot support site.
