1- APAR PK85947 introduces Q Replication V9.7 LUW functions. Below is the link for all the new functions. http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/db2luw/v9r7/topic/com.i bm.swg.im.iis.db.prod.repl.nav.doc/dochome/iiyrcnav_dochome.html This is a full refresh APAR and will require customers to migrate their replication tables by running sample SASNSAMP(ASNQMZ97). You will also be required to get the new message catalog and samples. There are new packages and you will be required to bind the packages (please copy the new bind files from SASNSAMP). No need to bind the plans. With this APAR, you must migrate all QCapture's and QApply's at the same time if you are running bidirectional or P2P scenario. Simplified and faster P2P and bidirectional qsubscription initialization: The initialization protocol for bidirectional and peer-to-peer subscriptions is enhanced. Modifications to the peer-to-peer initialization protocol that will allow capturing changes on the Initiator node during the initialization phase. When a user enables the protocol by starting a Q subscription on the Initiator node, changes will be immediately captured and propagated as soon as the first control message is sent. On the second node the changes will be applied immediately unless a full refresh of the table is required. Now QCapture in initiator node will start capturing changes after receiving the CAPSTART, and will not require an application outage in initiator node. Previously users had to wait for Initiator node IBMQREP_SUBS STATE to go to "A" or"L" to start source work load. In node2 (and other nodes) you still have to wait for IBMQREP_SUBS STATE to go to "A" before starting work load there. QApply can ignore specified transactions You can now prompt a QApply program to ignore transaction(s) , and these transactions are taken off the receive queue but not applied to target tables. The feature is available when you start the QApply program or when you start a receive queue (modify command or asnqacmd). Stopping the program from applying transactions is useful in unplanned situations, for example after the failover from a disaster recovery situation, you might want to ignore a range of transactions on the receive queue from the failover node to the fallback node. //SYSIN DD * SKIPTRANS="Q2;0000:0000:0000:51b0:0000-0000:0000:0000:51c0:0000" //SYSIN DD DSN=DPROPR.BIDI.CAP1PARM,DISP=SHR Content of DPROPR.BIDI.CAP1PAR file: SKIPTRANS="Q2;0000:0000:0000:51b0:0000-0000:0000:0000:51c0:0000" F APPQALLT,STARTQ=QALLTYPEL1;SKIPTRANS=0000:0000:1309:D631:0000 File option makes table differencing utility more flexible The asntdiff table differencing utility now gives you much greater control over what you compare by letting you specify two queries and comparing the result sets. With this option ASNTDIFF does not require the subname and you can compare any DB2 tables. The SELECT can be an open select as in (*), or a SELECT statement that contains column names, SQL expressions, and WHERE clauses that are permitted. New format for ASNTDIFF -F option //ASNTDIFF EXEC PGM=ASNTDIFF,PARM='/-F' //SYSIN DD * DIFF_DROP=Y DB2_SUBSYSTEM=V91A SOURCE_SERVER =STLEC1 SOURCE_SELECT = "SELECT CID,SUBSTR(XMLSERIALIZE(INFO AS CLOB),1,50) FROM QALLTYPE.MYCUSTOMER ORDER BY 1" TARGET_SERVER =STLEC1 TARGET_SELECT = "SELECT CID,SUBSTR(INFCLOB,1,50) FROM QALLTYPE.MYCUSTEXP ORDER BY 1" MAXDIFF=10000 DEBUG=YES QApply enhancements: New performance option to batch transactions in QApply - COMMIT_COUNT New Load options SPILL_COMMIT_COUNT, MAX_PARALLEL_LOADS and CLASSIC_LOAD_FL_SZ Ability to specify Expressions on XML columns Source table load operations can be replicated If you are running QCapture with DB2 V9 APAR PK78558 or higher, you now tell QCapture to take action when a DB2 load utility is run against a replicated source table. By default, when the QCapture program reads a log record that indicates the source table was successfully loaded by DB2 LOAD it issues a warning message. If specify option CAPTURE_LOAD value of "R" in IBMQREP_SUBS table, QCapture will send a schema message to QApply to trigger a target table load. Previously it was necessary to do CAPSTOP and CAPSTART when the load was done at source. ASNCLP will run on UNIX System Services for z/OS (optional APAR PK91016 will ship after APAR PK85947 and will pre-req APAR PK85947)
