JR23180: THE NNSTAT STORED PROCEDURE HANGS WHEN COLLECTING STATISTICS.

 

APAR status

  • Closed as duplicate of another APAR.

Error description

  • The nnstat stored procedure takes an unreasonably long time to
    refresh statistics (more than 10 minutes for 1 nickname). This
    issue is dependent on the values of the high2key and low2key
    columns on the remote server. The problem will occur if
    these values are near their maximum length. If the values for
    the nickname in these columns are short, this issue will
    not occur.

Local fix

  • Either don't run nnstats or make sure the remote datasource does
    not have statistics collected for the table.
