Error: '...Subquery returned more than 1 value...' occurs when running Course Progress by User report

Problem
You are using IBM® Workplace™ Collaborative Learning version 2.7.0.2 with Microsoft SQL 2000 Server as the backend database. When you attempt to run the Course Progress by User report, you receive a "Workplace Collaborative Learning Application Error".
 
Symptom
If Reporter debugging is enabled, a similar message to the one below is recorded in the JReporter.log:

java.sql.SQLException: [IBM][SQLServer JDBC Driver][SQLServer]Subquery returned more than 1 value. This is not permitted when the subquery follows =, !=, <, <= , >, >= or when the subquery is used as an expression.

    Cause
    The subquery that causes this problem is missing a condition.
     
    Resolving the problem
    This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# MNGN7TQLS6 and was resolved in the 2.7.0.3 fix pack and later releases.
    Customers are encouraged to upgrade Workplace Collaborative Learning to take advantage of the fixes and enhancements included in the latest fixpack.
