This document describes how to download Optim Database Administrator V2.2 installation images from IBM's Passport Advantage Online Web site.

Optim Database Administrator is a powerful and flexible tool that simplifies the process of identifying, analyzing, and implementing database schema changes for DB2® for Linux®, UNIX®, and Windows® databases.

Space requirements

  • 1 GB of disk space to store the full set of downloadable parts, plus 1 GB of disk space to unpack the parts.
  • If you do not have IBM® Installation Manager Version 1.3.0 installed on the system, 1 GB of disk space to install the product, and approximately 1 GB of space in the temporary directory to run the installation program.
  • If you have IBM Installation Manager Version 1.3.0 installed on the system, 1 GB of disk space to install the product, and approximately 1 GB of space in the temporary directory to run the installation program.

Downloading and assembling the product

  1. Download the parts that you need. The parts are described by platform in the tabbed sections of this document.
  2. Unpack each of the parts into a single temporary directory on your system.
  3. Follow the instructions in the Installation Guide to install the product.
