Abstract
Transfer of business from Solid Information Technology to IBM took place on June 1st, 2008. This article has been updated for the changes to software support options beginning July 1st, 2008.

Transfer of business from Solid Information Technology to IBM took place on June 1st, 2008.

Beginning July 1st, 2008, software support options and changes for IBM solidDB™ products are:

  • An IBM Customer Number (ICN) is needed when contacting IBM solidDB Support. IBM will notify Solid customers of their ICN and their Primary Site Technical Contact. A Solid customer number will no longer be valid.
  • Customers can request support via telephone or online via the Electronic Service Request (ESR) tool. ESR and Contact Support links are found on the Open service request page of the IBM solidDB support site. Submitting support requests via email will no longer be possible.
  • Customers will be able to view and update their Support Requests online via the ESR tool.

Solid customers are receiving separate communications to introduce and explain the changes and the increased support capabilities associated with them. For details and how to prepare see IBM solidDB Support process changes, effective 7/1/2008.
