Abstract
In some cases if you uninstall Symphony 1.2 and your data folder is at the root of your hard drive (e.g., c:\data, d:\data, files in that folder may be removed.

This issue is fixed in Symphony 1.3. For more and related information see the Symphony 1.3 Fix List and Release Notes.
Workaround:
As a workaround prior to upgrading, you should create a backup of data folder if at the root before using Add/Remove Programs to uninstall Symphony 1.2.
