FAQ-Deployment Instance ID with ISRA (Part 1 of 3)

Question & Answer

Question

What is the ISRA "deployment instance" custom property used for?

Answer

ISRA communicates with Image Manager using a unique endpoint terminal id. The ISRA deployment instance custom property is used by ISRA as part of an endpoint terminal id. When multiple ISRA J2C connection factories are configured in a single application server (JVM) referencing the same Image Manager server, each J2C connection factory should have a unique deployment instance. This allows the Image Manager server to be able to differentiate between the connections originating from a single JVM instance. When deploying ISRA J2C connection factories in separate JVMs or to different Image Manager servers, the deployment instance properties can be the same.

For additional information, refer to ( "How many ISRA J2C connection factories can deployed on a physical application server?") and ("What are the ISRA endpoint terminal id values?").
