IBM Support Assistant product add-on for Lotus Connections 2.5

| | | Abstract | | The IBM Support Assistant (ISA) now includes a product add-on for IBM Lotus Connections 2.5. | | | |  | | | Content | | IBM Support Assistant (ISA) is a desktop software to help you find answers or solve problems as you use your IBM software products. It is a cross-product extensible client application that increases your capacity for self-help by making it easier to access support resources. The IBM Support Assistant allows you to add plug-ins for the IBM products you use, creating a customized support experience for your configuration. Once ISA is installed, you can use the Updater to add specific product add-ons.
To coincide with the release of Lotus Connections 2.5, an ISA product add-on is available for this Lotus Connections release. By installing the Lotus Connections 2.5 add-on to the IBM Support Assistant, you can search Lotus Connections 2.5 information, browse product-related links, use basic data collectors, and access service components. To install the Lotus Connections 2.5 add-on for IBM Support Assistant:
1. Start the IBM Support Assistant Workbench
2. Select Update -> Find new -> Product Add-ons from the menu.
3. Expand the Lotus section.
4. Select IBM Lotus Connections 2.5 and click Next.
5. Click Next again.
6. Select I accept the terms in the license agreements and click Next.
7. Click Finish.
8. Click Finish again and click Yes to restart ISA.
Once you have installed the Lotus Connections 2.5 add-on, you can pick up any updates to the add-on using these steps:
1. Start IBM Support Assistant Workbench
2. Select Update -> Find Updates to Add-ons from the menu.
3. If updates are found, select IBM Lotus Connections 2.5 and click Next.
4. Select I accept the terms in the license agreements and click Next.
5. Click Finish.
6. Click Finish again and click Yes to restart ISA. | | | | | | | | |
