IBM Lotus Quickr Version 8.0.0.2 (Linux on x86) Updated 02/05/08 This page describes the minimum product levels that need to be installed before opening a problem report with the IBM Lotus Quickr Support team. Because other products frequently ship fixes, updates, and new releases, testing every configuration is not possible. In general, you can install and run with updates to supported products if those updates are forward compatible. The list below identifies the supported products that work with IBM Lotus Quickr on a Linux on x86 operating system.The supported product can run, but does not need to run, on the same machine or operating system where IBM Lotus Quickr runs. Check product-specific software requirements to determine whether software runs native or connected to IBM Lotus Quickr.

Bit-Architecture Supported: Lotus Quickr and WebSphere Application Server = 32-bit mode only; Operating System = 32-bit only. Workstation and Desktop are only supported as Developer platforms. Productivity Components require X11 R6 libraries in addition to the following libraries: openmotif, openmotif21-libs, openmotif-devel, openmotif-libs. Set the system-wide maximum open files number to 10240 before running the Lotus Quickr installation program. This may be accomplished by root invoking ulimit -n 10240. Some systems may require a reboot before this value takes effect. Consult your operating system manual. When installing the WebSphere Application Server Deployment Manager on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Version 4 Update 4, you may receive a warning that a supported operating system was not found; you can ignore this warning and continue with the installation. 10a. HTTP Server for i5/OS is provided natively on System i5 and is not bundled with or installed by Lotus Quickr. the license program number is 5722DG1. Issue the GO LICPGM to display all the installed licensed programs. 10d. Supported on Microsoft Windows Server 2003. 10e. To use Lotus Domino Version 7.0 with WebSphere Application Server, you must install the Web Server plug-in for Lotus Domino Server Version 6 which is a part of the Web Server plug-in for WebSphere Application Server 6.1 10f. Support for AIX was discontinued with 6.x editions. 11. Add APAR IO002714 6.0.0.1-TIV-ITDS-IF000a available at IBM Support. 12. For 5.2.0.3-TIV-ITDS-IF0001 or earlier, add APAR IO02697 (This will update Tivoli Directory Server to Fix Pack 3) available at IBM Support.
For 5.2.0.3-TIV-ITDS-IF0007 or earlier, add APAR IO02697.
For 5.2.0.3-TIV-ITDS-LA0011 or earlier, add APAR IO02697. SUSE SLES for S/390 8 is not supported. For 7.0.2 & 7.0.1: Apply SPR KLIN6LRTHJ to be able to return Groups and Users by direct lookup.
For 6.5.5 & 6.5.4, Apply SPR LORN6FKK9Q to be able to return Groups and Users by direct lookup. 15. Common PIM support note: The Common Mail and Common Calendar portlets require Lotus Domino 7.0.2, 7.0.1, 6.5.5, 6.5.4. For support of all Common Calendar features, such as the group calendar and rich text attachments. Lotus Domino 7.0.2 is required. A Domino Interim Fix Pack may be required on any Lotus Domino messaging server that functions as a back end for teh Common PIM portlets. Contact IBM Support to determine whether such a Fix Pack is required and how to obtain it. 16. For release 6.5 or later only, Lotus Sametime is called IBM Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing. 22. IBM Tivoli License Compliance Manager Version 2.2 Fix Pack 1 is required to properly monitor the Lotus Quickr product offerings. 23. Known Limitation -- JRE 1.4.1_07 crashes Firefox 2.0 browser when creating an authoring template. 24. The Web browsers were tested by IBM on servers that support the following client operating systems or desktop products:

- Win Vista (32 bit only, toleration only; not full support)
- RedHat v4
