Troubleshooting

Problem

In the QBR report tool, under the format tab, the Report Label column of fields are not aligned properly.

Symptom

Diagnosing The Problem

To confirm this, go to any application, click Select Actions, Run Reports. select Create Report. Then click on the format tab.

The fields under Report Label, will appear to be crowded at the top of each section.

This has been reported in some versions of Smart Cloud Control Desk 7.5.1.0

At this time, we do not know what has caused this problem, but there is an APAR: IV59258.

Resolving The Problem

To fix this, do the following.

1. Export the Library.xml

a) Goto Applications, System Configuration, Platform Configuration, Application Designer.

b) Select Action, Export System XML.

c) Click on the circular arrow beside Library. This will open the Library.xml in a browser.

d) in the browser, click File, Save as to save the Library.xml to your local workstation.

2. Edit the Library.xml in a text editor.

a) Search for 'Filter On Report Label'

b) That takes you to this section.

<textbox dataattribute="filterreportlabel1" hidelabel="true" id="reportfilter_2_8" inputmode="readonly" label="Filter On Report Label" lookup="rptfield"/>
<textbox dataattribute="filterreportlabel2" hidelabel="true" id="reportfilter_2_9" inputmode="readonly" label="And Also On Report Label" lookup="rptfield"/>
<textbox dataattribute="filterreportlabel3" hidelabel="true" id="reportfilter_2_15" inputmode="readonly" label="And Also On Report Label" lookup="rptfield"/>

c) Change the 3 label tags to label=" "

d) Remove the 3 occurrences of hidelabel="true"

e) Repeat sections a) through d) for 'Group First by Category label' and 'Sort First by Report Label'. Change the label sections to label = ' ' and removing hidelabel.

f) Save the changed Library.xml

3. Reload the Library.xml back into Maximo

a) Goto Applications, System Configuration, Platform Configuration, Application Designer.

b) upload the new library.xml to Application Designer by clicking the Import Application Definition icon.

A restart of Maximo will not be required after this change. This will resolve the issue for the time being. It is possible that future releases of Maximo could overwrite this file.
