Run-time Error '70' After Installation of the Maximo Project Adapter

Problem

While running the Project Adapter, you receive the message: Run-time error '70'; Permission Denied.

Cause

The usual remedy for this error is to replace your jintegra.jar but in this case the error was caused by the folder used for the client side installation. The default folder is:

C:\MaxProjectClient

In this example it was installed into:

C:\Program Files (x86)\MaxProjectClient.

And the DLL was registered from that folder, too.

Resolving The Problem

As soon as we moved the DLL and .INI (MXMSProject.DLL and MaximoProject.INI) to a different folder and registered the DLL there, it worked. If did not have to be the default of C:\MaxProjectClient, but it couldn't be the folder above.
