This document describes the minimum product levels that need to be installed before opening a problem report with the WebSphere Service Registry and Repository Support team. Because other products frequently ship fixes, updates, and new releases, testing every configuration is not possible. In general, you can install and run with updates to supported products if those updates are forward compatible.

The following list identifies the products that are supported when WebSphere Service Registry and Repository runs on the Solaris operating system. It is not necessary to run the database on the same machine or operating system as WebSphere Service Registry and Repository.

Application Server
Operating Systems supported with 32-bit WebSphere Application Server v7.0
  • Sun Solaris operating environment, Version 10 with Patch Cluster dated 1/07/08 or later (32 and 64-bit kernel support)

Operating Systems supported with 64-bit WebSphere Application Server v7.0
  • Sun Solaris operating environment, Version 10 with Patch Cluster dated 1/07/08 or later (64-bit kernel support)
Operating Systems supported with 32-bit WebSphere Application Server v6.1
  • Sun Solaris operating environment, Version 10 with the latest Patch Cluster (32 and 64-bit kernel support)

Hardware Requirements
  • Sun Solaris operating environment compatible SPARC workstation

  • CD-ROM drive, DVD-ROM drive
