SA04: ITCAM for SOA Event Handler for WebSphere Service Registry and Repository
Downloadable files
Abstract
Update metadata in WebSphere® Service Registry and Repository based on events detected by IBM® Tivoli® Monitoring.
Download Description
The IBM Tivoli Composite Application Manager (ITCAM) for SOA Event Handler for WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR) is designed to reside between WSRR and IBM Tivoli Monitoring (ITM). When an ITCAM for SOA situation event is detected by ITM, ITM sends out an event to the Event Handler (optionally via Tivoli Enterprise Console or Netcool/OMNIbus) which updates metadata in the registry. The Event Handler creates, updates or removes properties on the WSDLPort and/or SCA Export logical objects in the registry.
Possible Uses
To maintain accurate metadata concerning the current state of an SOA environment, such that mediations can make informed decisions for runtime selection and binding. The metadata is also available to people who are using the registry to select a specific service to access.
Skill Level Required
Familiarisation with Tivoli’s ITM, ITCAM for SOA and WSRR.
