Problem
Received Unrecognized user errors when logging in after enabling LDAP with the maxadmin user.
Symptom
Unable to log into Maximo.
Diagnosing The Problem
Check the case of your users LOGINID in the MAXUSER table then compare it to the case of that user on the active directory server. If there is any difference in case the user will not be able to login.
For example
If the loginid in the database is maxadmin, your login property defined in WebSphere is UID and the UID in Active Directory is Maxadmin you will not be able to log in as the capital 'M' in the Active Directory structure doesn't match the lowercase 'm' in in the MAXUSER table
Resolving The Problem
You will likely only have this problem for the initially created users as all other users will be brought in via the LDAPSYNC or VMMSYNC. To fix this you can change the case on the Active Directory side for UID (or different log in property) to match the case on the Maximo side for LOGINID
