Select a classification while working with reconciliation rules
|
| | | Abstract | | After applying fix pack 5 to IBM® Tivoli® Change and Configuration Management Database (CCMDB), version 7.1.1, you can configure CCMDB to enable you to select a classification when working with link rules or comparison rules. | | | | | | Content | | By default, you cannot select a classification when you create a generic rule. A generic rule is one that does not use full CI comparison.
Follow these steps to configure CCMDB to enable you to select a classification:
- Click Go To -> Administration -> Organizations.
- Open any existing Organization record, then choose Select Action => System Settings.
- Expand the IT Options section
- For Authorized CI Top-Level Class, select the desired authorized class root (in the reconciliation applications, when ds1=cispec, the class field will be enabled and show a list of all classes under this root).
- For Actual CI Top-Level Class, select the desired actual class root (in the reconciliation applications, when ds2=actispec, the class field will be enabled and show a list of all classes under this root).
After completing these steps, you will be able to select a classification when working with link rules or comparison rules. | | | | | | | | |
