IBM is aware of the following change to the Chi-X Canada feed and will be updating the IBM WebSphere Front Office Order Book Feed Handler for Chi-X Canada accordingly.

Chi-X Canada ATS Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of global agency broker Instinet and operator of Chi-X Canada. Chi-X Canada is a subsidiary of Instinet Group.
The Chi-X CHIXMD Feed is the vendor level data feed of Chi-X, the Chi-X Canada ATS Limited. It disseminates market data as a direct feed in the CHIXMD protocol, which is similar to the ITCH protocol currently in use by other markets. The feed is a series of sequenced and unsequenced variable length messages. The messages themselves are encoded in printable ASCII bytes. The Chi-X CHIXMD feed shares many similarities to the protocols implemented by other ATSs.
Based on the same technology that is currently being used by Chi-X Europe - it was developed by Instinet - -X Canada has an internal latency of less than one millisecond, or 1/1000th of a second.
