2.2 Component Updates

Java has been updated to version 1.7.0 SR10 FP15
WebSphere Application Server Liberty has been updated to version 17.0.0.3

2.3 Summary of the Enhancements included in this Fix Pack.

• • Significant improvements have been made to reduce report run times, as well as, reduce memory consumption; on the Impact
  Netcool Operations Insight (NOI) processing logic.
  
  • Two new commands have been introduced in nci_policy:

  ◦ show - Is used to show all currently running policies in the Impact server

  ◦ kill - Is used to kill an out of control running policy in the Impact server

  
  • New “maxloopsize” property is now available in the <NCI>_server.props. This property limits the number of times a policy can loop
  to avoid Out Of Memory conditions with rogue Impact policies.
  • impact.policy.maxloopsize=50
  
  • Support for Windows 2016 is now available.
  
  
  • Note 1: Before installing FP, the user that is installing impact must be given full Administrative rights to the impact directory. Right click on impact directory and select Properties. Select Security Tab, select the user and give them Full Control, Modify, Read & Write permissions. Otherwise the health checker may fail.
    
    Note 2 : The install should be run from the Administrator Command Window, otherwise the install will not run.
    
    Note 3: Scripts under the impact/bin directory, need to be executed from an Administrator Command window; otherwise, an “Access
    denied” message will be displayed.
    
    • Support of Multi-tenant for UI Data Provider
