Revised installation procedure for WebSphere Commerce integration
|
| | | Abstract | This technote provides revised installation instructions for the OmniFind™ Discovery Edition integration for WebSphere® Commerce.
These instructions replace the existing instructions in the following sections of the Commerce Module User's Guide, Version 8.4: Copying the integration files for WebSphere Commerce (Windows) and Copying the integration files for WebSphere Commerce (Linux, Solaris, and AIX).
This technote also provides updates to the Manually installing the layout (Windows) and Manually installing the layout (Linux, Solaris, and AIX) sections.
Important: Follow the instructions in this technote to copy the version 8.4 integration files. Do not run the setup file as described in the user's guide. | | | | | | Content | See the Integration for WebSphere Commerce documentation for complete information about setting up the integration. You must replace the following sections of the documentation with the instructions below: - Copying the integration files for WebSphere Commerce (Windows)
- Copying the integration files for WebSphere Commerce (Linux, Solaris, and AIX)
The first step in setting up the integration is to install the WebSphere Commerce integration to your OmniFind Discovery Edition server. To install the WebSphere Commerce integration files: - In the OmniFind Discovery Edition installation directory, create a directory named ServicesToolkit. This directory might already exist if you previously installed an OmniFind Discovery Edition module.
- Under the ServicesToolkit directory, create a directory named CommerceIntegration.
- Copy the wcs.zip file from the Commerce Module CD-ROM or electronic distribution to the CommerceIntegration directory.
- Download and install OmniFind Discovery Edition, Version 8.4 Fix Pack 6. Run the Fix Pack 6 installation wizard and select the following options:
- Custom
- Turbo Packs > Industry Ontology Packs > Commerce
The setup program detects your previous Commerce Module installation and replaces the wcs.zip file in the ServicesToolkit\CommerceIntegration directory. For more information about downloading and installing the fix pack, see the Related information section for a link to the Fix Pack 6 download document. After you install the integration, set up and configure the integration by following the instructions in the Commerce Module User's Guide, Version 8.4. Continue with one of the following procedures: Note that starting in Fix Pack 4, the resources directory is in the Stores.war\\WEB-INF\com\ibm\wcds directory. The resources directory contains property files such as the connections.properties and form.properties files and resource bundles that are used by the integration. If you need to manually install the layout (as described in the Manually installing the layout sections), you must perform the following additional step in Fix Pack 4 and later. Copy the com and data directories from the OmniFind Discovery Edition deployment\wcs\wcs\lib\odeLayout\WEB-INF directory to the WAS_HOME\AppServer\profiles\WCS_instance_name\installedApps\WC_WCS_instance_name_cell\WC_WCS_instance_name.ear\Stores.war\WEB-INF directory. WAS_HOME is the WebSphere Application Server installation directory. | | | | | | | | | |
