'Go Offline' option does not display as expected in Domino Web Access

 Technote (troubleshooting)

Problem
Using Domino Web Access (DWA), the "Go Offline" option does not appear on the upper right hand corner where it is expected.

Resolving the problem

To troubleshoot the issue of the Go Offline button not displaying as expected:

1. Verify that in the Configuration Document, the option "Allow users to go offline" is enabled (Domino Web Access tab > Offline Section).

2. Verify that a security policy exists. (Configuration tab > Offline Services section> Security). If it does not exist, create one and add the organization name (/ACME or */ACME).

3. Check if the Server document contains a valid DSAPI filter in the field DSAPI filter file names. (Internet Protocols tab > DSAPI section). DSAPI filter names:
      Platform -DSAPI Filter File Name
      Win32 - ndolextn
      OS/2 - idolextn
      Linux - libdolextn
      AIX - libdolextn
      Solaris/Sparc - libdolextn
      S390 - libdolextn
      iSeries - libdolextn
Note: If the DSAPI section is not visible in the Server Document, the user has the option "Load Internet configurations from Server\Internet Sites documents" enabled in the Basics tab. The DSAPI fields can be checked\modified in the Web Site documents > Configuration tab.

4. Restart the Domino server.

5. Before logging into Domino Web Access to test, clear the browser's cache. In Internet Explorer, Go to Tools > Internet Options and select "Delete Cookies", "Delete Files", and "Clear history".
