Content
ISA Lite for PurifyPlus Windows v7.0 is a customized subset of the IBM Support Assistant Workbench that provides automated data collection capability specific for PurifyPlus Windows V7.0. If you do not have IBM Support Assistant Workbench installed and need to provide information for our support team, you can use this to quickly gather information using ISA Lite for PurifyPlus.

This is currently available only for Microsoft Windows platforms.

ISA Lite for PurifyPlus Windows v7.0 will collect the following information from your system :

  • Collects collector tool execution & system inventory information.
  • Collects problem description (user input)
    • Optionally collects the instrumented program.
    • Collects any files (in a folder) that the user chooses to provide.
  • Collects system information.
    • Windows commands executed: systemInfo, mem, tasklist /v , sc query , set
    • Registry information : HKEY_CURRENT_USER , and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE
  • If this is not an installation issue and PurifyPlus is found on the system:
    • Collects PurifyPlus version information.
    • Collects PurifyPlus filters and default .ini settings.
    • Calculates the cache location based on the instrumented program specified. It then collects cache information as a result of executing emode.exe against the cache directory.
    • Collects the instrumented program's .ini and .log files.
    • If the application is "A Java app" it will optionally run "PurifyMD -locate -diagnose -log".
At the end of data collection, you'll have an option to send the data directly to IBM, or to a different location. This is optional. To check what has been collected, extract the .zip file that is created when the collector completes.
