Problem(Abstract)
Use the download wizard to access the latest version of firmware for your WebSphere DataPower appliance. This document provides a link to the wizard and complete directions.
 
 
Resolving the problem
Access the DataPower appliance download wizard now or follow the steps below for detailed instructions.

The following information describes the process to access firmware updates and Release Notes for the following IBM WebSphere DataPower SOA Appliances:

  • WebSphere DataPower Integration Appliance XI50
  • WebSphere DataPower XML Security Gateway XS40
  • WebSphere DataPower XML Accelerator XA35


Firmware fixes are not yet available for the following two appliances.

  • WebSphere DataPower B2B Appliance XB60
  • WebSphere DataPower LLM Appliance XM70

Note: Refer to WebSphere DataPower Product Documentation to access product documentation for all versions of firmware.


Solution

Obtain your appliance model, hardware, and firmware information
Sign in to DataPower Appliance Firmware and Documentation
If you do not have an IBM ID, complete the registration
Enter DataPower Appliance Firmware and Documentation downloads
Select your DataPower appliance model
Select your DataPower appliance hardware generation
Select your DataPower appliance firmware generation
Complete the Privacy and License sections
Select the desired firmware, production documentation, and release notes for download




Obtain your appliance model, hardware, and firmware using the WebGUI

You can use the DataPower WebGUI to obtain your appliance model, hardware generation, and firmware generation which are necessary to navigate to the appropriate files.

DataPower model The DataPower model displays on the top left of the banner on every WebGUI page as XI50, XS40, or XA35.
Hardware generation To display the hardware generation select Administration > System Settings. If the Product ID includes "9003", you have a 7993/9003 system. If the Product ID includes "9235", you have a 9235/9004 system Otherwise, you have a 9001/9002 system.
Firmware generation To display the firmware generation select Status > Version Information. If the version is the same as the installed DPOS, you have Generation 2 (.scrypt2). Otherwise, you have Generation 1 (.scrypt).
License Information To display the license information select Status, look under System and select Licensing Information. Note which features are enabled.




Sign in to the DataPower Appliance Firmware and Documentation download page

Access the DataPower Appliance Firmware and Documentation download page. If you have an existing My Support account, click "Sign in" and authenticate using your My Support credentials.










If you do not have an IBM ID, complete the registration


Registration is simple and should take less than three (3) minutes!
  1. Select register now from the Sign in page to create a new User ID:



  2. Enter your e-mail address as your IBM ID:




  3. Fill out your user information and press Submit:

  4. Click Continue to start using your new user ID:




  5. Log in using your new user ID:






Enter DataPower Appliance Firmware and Documentation downloads

Click "DataPower Appliance Firmware and Documentation" to begin the download process.





Select your DataPower appliance model using information from your appliance. See Obtain your appliance model, hardware, and firmware information for details.





Select your DataPower appliance hardware generation using information from your appliance. See Obtain your appliance model, hardware, and firmware information for details.





Select your DataPower appliance firmware generation using information from your appliance. See Obtain your appliance model, hardware, and firmware information for details.





Complete the Privacy and License sections. Click "I confirm" to continue.




Select the desired firmware, product documentation, and release notes from the final page using the text descriptions and your appliance license to assist in your selection. See Obtain your appliance model, hardware, and firmware information for details. Click "Download now" to complete the download.
