Error description

  • When serializing a business object into an XML string using
    the data handler primitive within a mediation flow component,
    the data handler uses the wrong XML root element and the wrong
    XML namespace.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using the Data Handler primitive   *
    *                      with the UTF8XMLDataHandler             *
    *                      configuration to serialize a business   *
    *                      object into an XML string users can     *
    *                      observe that the datahandler may        *
    *                      use the incorrect XML root element      *
    *                      and XML namespace.  This may be         *
    *                      observed when root element name space   *
    *                      is not known at development time and    *
    *                      therefore not configured at this        *
    *                      time. So the case where root element    *
    *                      namespace is dynamic.  At runtime       *
    *                      users can observe the following error   *

    When using the Data Handler primitive with the
    UTF8XMLDataHandler configuration to serialize a business
    object into an XML string users can observe that the
    datahandler may use the incorrect XML root element and XML
    namespace.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code was modified to use the correct element and namespace.
    
    There are no known side effects associated with this fix.
    There is no known alternative workaround should you encounter
    this problem.
