IC68582: MQEXPORT INCORRECTLY CALCULATES THE REQUIRED EXPIRY TIME FOR A RESPONSE MESSAGE

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • MQExport incorrectly calculates the required expiry time for the
response message. This results in some cases an incorrect
expiry being used in the response message. The correct
behaviour is that the expiry should be derived from the request
expiry unless overriden in the MQ header context in the SMO in
    a mediation response flow.

When the user sets the Message Expiration Time explicitly
using a simple MQ message with the MQExport, the
required expiry time for the response message is incorrectly
    calculated.

Problem conclusion

  • The code was modified to ensure correct setting of expiration
    time.
